Moving Picture Company is pleased to announce that Mr. Arun Aggarwal has taken over as Chief Executive Officer of the Company with effect from December 6, 2007. Mr. Aggarwal was till recently CFO of the Zee Turner Limited (joint venture between Essel Group and Turner International) and has been associated with Zee Group for last 9 years in various senior capacities. Mr. Aggarwal brings with him vast experience of the media scene in India as well as insight into different aspect of the Indian media and entertainment industry.

Commenting on his appointment the Chairman cum Managing Director of the Moving Picture Company (India) Limited Mr. Ramesh Sharma said “We are pleased that a senior person regarded highly by the industry with his professional ability has joined Moving Picture Company at a time when the Company is repositioning itself to take advantage of robust growth in the entertainment sector. AWARD FOR THE BEST ANIMATION FILM

KACHUA AUR KHARGOSH (Hindi) Rajat Kamal and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- to the Producer : Ramesh Sharma & Uma Gajapati Raju.

Rs. 10,000/- to the Director: C.B. Arun Kumar.
Rajat Kamal and a cash prize of Rs. 10,000/- to the Animator: Moving Picture Company Animation team.

The Citation read:

The award for the Best Animation film for 2005 is given to Kachua Aur Khargosh for its delightful adaptation and twist to the well-known Hare and Tortoise story using apt voices, lively dialogues and the latest 3D animation technique skillfully in an Indian setting.

Moving Picture is a leading production house and only recently its International co-production with HBO-The Journalist and The Jihadi- The Murder of Daniel Pearl was nominated for Two Emmy Awards in the USA. The company produces a number of TV shows for various Indian TV channels. It has also completed ten spots for BBC World for the Incredible India campaign.

Moving Picture Company's feature documentary film “The Journalist And The Jihadi - The Murder Of Daniel Pearl” has received two nominations in this year's prestigious EMMY AWARDS in the USA for OUTSTANDING INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM and OUTSTANDING WRITING. The film was co-produced with HBO and First Take Ltd., London and was produced and co-directed by award winning filmmaker Ramesh Sharma.
